Max Papis Innovations × Garage 56 Project

NASCAR’s Next Gen race car on the Mulsanne straight? What better test of man and machine than the 24 Hours of Le Mans. MPI will be the wheel of choice for the 4 all-star driver lineup to compete in the race.

Hendrick Motorsports Team

Nearly half a century after Bill France Sr. first took stock cars to the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans, NASCAR and Hendrick Motorsports have announced their intention to compete in the 2023 event as the special Garage 56 entry. To showcase the power and performance of the NASCAR Next Gen platform, Hendrick Motorsports turned to Max Papis Innovations to develop a steering wheel for the task.

An All-Star Lineup and Team

Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, Le Mans winner Mike Rockenfeller, and 2009 Formula One world champion Jenson Button will share the driver’s seat of the Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

The Garage 56 project is a partnership between NASCAR, Hendrick Motorsports, Chevrolet and Goodyear – the winningest team, manufacturer and tire in the sport’s 75-year history.
